Puerto Tarraco, in Tarragona, is a marina for large yachts up to 140m or more. Tarraco was the name given to the city in Roman times. This marina is located just a short distance from the outstanding city of Barcelona and not far from the Pyrenees. Puerto Tarraco is situated close to the downtown area of Tarragona, which is an entertaining place to live for the crew with good shopping and nightlife. The recently built marina offers excellent protection and modern facilities. There is a crew lounge and a crew gym, as well as a selection of bars and restaurants within the marina development. Friendly management provide an efficient service, and prices are very competitive as the marina seeks to encourage more resident yachts. Winter berthing is increasingly popular in Puerto Tarraco, and there is good availability of supplies for any work that needs doing as Tarragona has an important maritime industry.
